Our Story
Studio 32 Founder Ruby Zinsmeister, unknowingly started Studio 32 when she began renting a unit in the lower level at 311 George St N., Peterborough. Ruby had been a long time tenant here starting her journey in 2017 in a small room at the back of the Boxing Club while she practiced Thai Massage.
Once she completed her training as an RMT, her practice began to become busier. She moved over to what became the birth place of Studio 32 (LL3), a long-time space of healing as it used to house a psychology clinic & intuitive medium. Ruby moved into this 4 room clinic space on her own, knowing one day - the right people would show up to fill the rooms.
In 2023, the right people did show up! Ruby invited budding tattoo artist Brittany Rose, Holistic Health Practitioner Heather Litster, Spiral Emotional Clearing Practitioner Laura Plahuta, and newly graduated RMT Sarah Canciellerie into the clinic space.
All of these ladies worked out of the space on their own terms & schedules moving in and out of the clinic filling it with their beautiful energy.
It wasn’t until one “shitty” day, the crew was faced with a dilemma as the building maintence was working on the plumbing, and the smell was… unfortunate.
The ladies were able to use a vacant unit upstairs (208). This is when Ruby, Heather, Sarah, and their clients of the day realized. This space is meant for magic to happen. Funnily enough, this used to be the home of yet another healing space for the community (Whitepath Consulting)
The crew got together for our first official lunch & brainstormed what to call this new space we were excited about the possibility of moving up to.
The naming story is really long, but it was kicked off at a late lunch St. Veronus with these rad ladies. The sat there together musing about how they can work together to help the community, bringing more transformative healing support and resources and information to people who might not otherwise find them.
They spent an hour searching random names for our group of healers (and the healers to come) on ChatGPT, but nothing really *stuck*
UNTIL… Ruby and Brittany started diving deeper into a tattoo that came to Ruby in a dream.
That’s where the number 32 came into play…
In numerology, the number 32 symbolizes progress and enlightenment. The meaning of the angel number 32 is that divine guidance is trying to send you a message. The angels that are associated with this number often help to bring clarity & understanding into one’s life.
Considering the combined symbolism of 3 and 2. the number 32 could suggest a blend of creativity, communication, adaptability, and harmonious relationships.
Ultimately, the number 32 is a reminder that all things are possible if we remain open to growth & transformation.
While some of the ladies have moved out of the Studio as regular practitioners, this is exacty what Studio 32 stands for. Supporting & growing together AND apart.
Eventually, the crew got the OK to begin renovations in what is now the studio, the Zinsmeister boys & Laura’s husband really elevated & modernized the space we now call our home of creatives, intuitives & generally rad humans.
Studio 32 is now a blossoming space for transformational healing & growth in the community. And we’re just getting started….
